| I also had a Fakor made in France. His Stuff (sword and chest armor) was made in france, too. But his head was not marked with a country. I have to check If I find a picture. _________________ MAKE WAY FOR THE BAD GUY |

Johnny,
I have read your other post regarding the French 8-back Fakor. This figure was released with a sword that was manufactured in France. I've held three of them in my hands and the swords were all marked: "France". The armour of the French 8-back was probably produced in France as well. The accessories of the French 8-back Fakor can be distinguished from other ones because Mattel used a darker-coloured plastic for these items. As for the YB Fakor: there is only one way to prove that this figure actually existed: A carded specimen or the backing card has to show up (this allready was the case in 1998). However, it is possible that the EURO Fakor (France 1983) has no markings on his head (i doubt that this will be the case - I personally believe that his head is marked: "France"). If the EURO-Fakor has no markings on his head than we can assume that every loose figure with a head that is marked: "France" was actually released on a YB card. We all know that the head of the French 8-back Fakor is marked: "Taiwan". We know for sure that several Fakor figures with a head that is marked: "France" were released (I owned one as well). BUT...nobody will open his EURO-Fakor so there is no way to tell (and even if someone who owns this figure would open the package there is a good chance that the figures' head is marked: "France"). I'm affraid that we will have to wait untill a carded specimen shows up again (and it will). Otherwise we will never be able to prove its' existance.
Kind regards,
Filip.
PS Reg, A., Jean,...can someone check which country is marked on the swords of your EURO-Fakors? I bet that they are marked: "France". |
