PostSubject: Something I saw in someone's collection here...   Wed Jul 09, 2008 6:07 pm

Hello!

About a week ago I was drooling over the various collections posted here when I spotted a Fang-Man custom MISB somewhere amongst someone's collection. It was just like the Luluberlu Shadow Weaver figure, only it was Fang-Man. I haven't been able to find it again since then. I was wondering if the proud owner of this Fang-Man could possibly post or send me a pic of it?

Thank you! - SpikeWolfe

Yes, that is the figure. Thanks barbarian and Arkangel! Until I saw this figure, I didn't know there were any other customs on card besides Shadow Weaver. Next questions: When was this figure made? Are there any other customs of this sort besides Fang-Man and Shadow Weaver?

that "Mando" guy once had some kind of homepage dedicated to his customs.

sorry i just looked but can't find the link at the moment - not even via google. Sad

anyways, from memory i still remember he has done customs of:

- granamyr (or whatever the name of the big red dragon in the cartoon is)

- fang man

- the spirit of castle grayskull (the talking face representing the castle in the cartoon)

- some sort of red clay giant (also a character from the cartoon)

- icer

and some other characters shown in the motu tv-cartoon.

most of them were sold on ebay.

Reg bought the fang-man (it was just the figure, no card and bubble back then) the price was about 300 USD (on a side note, as far as i know Reg opened a MOC laser light skeletor to get a fitting bubble for the custom fang-man moc)

he also bid on the granamyr dragon, but was outbid --- the auction ended at appr. 380 or 400 usd or something in this region.

Wow!

Mando is a serious Filmation fan!!! I'm more of an early mini comics (pre Prince Adam) He-fan myself, but I still enjoy most aspects of things that are MOTU. One of the most amazing set of customs I've ever seen! Thanks again barbarian!!!
