| hi guys, well let this topic be dedicated to funny "GRADING BLOOPERS" done by AFA.
in the meanwhile there are quite many examples (e.g. when they packed a red King Hiss shield with a Leech figure etc)... but as a fresh start:
here we have a "CLASSIC head laser-power he-man" http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130224380121

Classic head, movie head - what's the difference, right???

or maybe the most RARE Head - 80s Russian Hair-Cut Ivan Drago Variant Head (maybe self-made)

| @ musclor: please write in english, so that everybody can read it. nothing personal of course, but the grayskullmuseum is an international / multilingual forum. thanks for your understanding bro!
i don't think the seller has replaced the l.p.he-man in the acrylic-case ... because the kind of cases that afa uses to seal figures (loose and moc) don't have a sliding bottom mechanism, but they are glued together ... so if you want to open the case (and replace the toy inside) that would definitely break the acrylic. the case in the photos looks flawless, so afa definitely graded it wrong as classic-head _________________

how can people pay this retards to grade their items??? I DONT FUCKING UNDERSTAND!!!! They cant tell the difference between a classic head and a movie head! How do they manage to tell the difference between their retard rankings -> AFA 70 or AFA 75? Or better AFA 85 or AFA 90?

people pay them, that's what matters ... i dunno if they still have the same prices, but i remember that i wanted to grade my g1 soundwave, and that would cost me about 100€ at the time, because the value of the toy increased ... kinda stupid way to charge money but oh well _________________ Just going out bombin'

| Is this a new thing from AFA to charge the costs for the grading process upon the "current market-value" of the item which is to be graded?
Didn't it used to be a flatrate cost for the grading, plus the additional manufacturing cost calculated upon the size of the acrylic-case?

| I respect all options and opinions of course but I know better than any person the grade and condition of any toy and card. I dont need any company for upgrade my toys. The only thing that I like from AFA is the acrylic case, nothing more (the reason because my mail-away he-man comes in AFA grade, not for the grade, only because I liked into acrylic case).
I will never pay "ridiculous" prices for AFA graded moc figures, never. |

| Well friends, i want to tell my little experience about AFA pieces. When i look for them the first time, i was really interested at this kind of display. But very early my dream to get all my figures AFA was broken... I have 15 or more AFA graded figure.. now they mentioned Y grade for yellowed figures, but give usually high value! I have a Clawful AFA 80 with bubble broken!! The broken piece of the bubble was in the acrylic box. So brokened after they put it inside. It's real AFA 80 NOW??? Same thing happened with a Webstor AFA 70 (with subgrade of the bubble 80).... Bubble is broken inside display box..... I've seen a loose figure of a skeletor commemorative and they put on it Skeletor 81 Wave one... and a Rotar with EURO CARD graded as ROTAR USA CARD... I haven't no word for this service.. I'll never take an AFA piece in all my life P.S. i send them a lot of e-mails. They newer reply me!!!! |
