| Hey guys, I am curious in which period BIG JIM was popular?
That was in the late 70's right? Or also beginning of the 80's?

| In the USA: Big Jim was born in 1971 and stops in 76... in Italy it began in 1974 and stops in 1986 (!!!) I think that's the same for France and Germany... in Europe it was a great hit and it's unknow why mattel (usa) decided in 1986 to stop the series ...the last wave was almost all made in Italy |

| one of the things that drive me crazy about big jim is that some countries made his own standard figures among the regular ones... here is some examples of figures made in the 80's:
standard made in france 'space':

standard 'spy' made in italy:

In France, the most popular waves are: Spys and Commandos (1981-86) I am collecting only the Spy, Commandos and Space (for the moment lol) _________________

| I think they have different codes... so they are 2 different figures.. as Toky said in the 80's Big Jim was a great product and Mattel made a lot of standard figures |

| how were they articulated?
did they also have rubber-bands to hold the legs together, or was there some kind of hip-joint (like L.P.He-Man or Blast-Attack)
