| Some canadian Designer called Robin Nishio.
Well...
this drawing seems to touch everyone in a special way. Some think it is just a funny thing, some think it is just an ugly artwork, some think itīs erotic (lol...hopefully not), some just donīt like it because they make fun our loved MotU characters...
The thing I realy like about this drawing is, that it was shown in a newer Skateboard/Art/Design/Streetwear/Music-Magazine from December 2007. It brings MotU backin in peoples minds. I think it is nice that MotU gets publicity not only in special forums and toy- or comicmagazines but also in other scenes, allthough this drawing realy is a bit strange... |

| and if you look between the mountains it sort of has a hand either saying "Come..." or "fuck off" well, it just depends on your state of mind i guess

It's ok for me to have fun with Motu, but the picture of Robin Nishio
give too much laught to persons who hate motu (and in France there is
lots of this kind of person who think Motu is big shit !)
I'm ok with the idea of Mr Nishio if he draws same things with other
heroes (Marvel, Manga, Tim Burton heroes, movies ...etc). Do you know
Slayer if he draws other thing like that ? |

I googled it using "robin nishio" and "robin nishio" "masters of the universe".
It looks as if he draw for this "He Man She Ra Art Show"

In the words of John Cleese as The Pope, "I may not know much about art, but I know what I like!!!!" Man, several (most) of those paintings look like... SHIT!
I mean, take vomits like "Entraptra" (250 Dollars b.t.w) or "Beastman" (Just 150, and itīs framed! WOW!) Sure, som stuff like "O" ,
"Princess of Power" and
"Oh Snap! Out Numbered Again!" are cool, but most of it... I donīt just get it...
I will try to get around and post some of my paintings ion the next few weeks, and let you guys be the judge... |
